Chris Bingley

chris-bingley

Chris Bingley is the founder of Dads Matter UK and is also the founder of the Joanne (Joe) Bingley Foundation.Chris concentrates on raising awareness of Parental and Child Mental Health Issues. He is an experienced speaker and presenter and is well respected for his technical content and knowledge as much as his wife’s tragic case study.

Chris own experience is of losing his wife when she took her own life while suffering from very severe postnatal depression, when their daughter was just 10 weeks old. Chris then spent 2 years fighting for the truth to be brought out as to how the NHS failed to provide the correct treatment for his wife and how hers was an “avoidable death”. Due to the exceedingly poor provision of mental health services Chris is currently studying for his MSC in Developmental Psychology at Sheffield Hallam University so that he can support his daughter through the risks and crisis events she now faces.

Chris provides consultancy and advice as an “Expert User” with his thorough insight, and knowledge of quality standards, guidelines, best practice, gaps in services and the latest research. Chris uses his considerable experience in business change and transformation to identify and develop the charities with the aim to make a difference to Dads, Mums and families affected by anxiety, depression and stress (Mental illness).
